What is Obsessive compulsive?
Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) is a mental health condition where a person has obsessive thoughts and compulsive activity. A obsession is an unpleasant and undesirable thought, image or urge that enters a person's mind, causing feelings of unease, disgust or stress. A compulsion is a psychological or persistent behaviour act that somebody feels that they should execute to attempt to temporarily alleviate the unpleasant feelings brought on by the idea that is obsessive. For example, somebody with an anxiety of the house being burgled might feel they will need to test all the doors and windows are locked several times until they can leave the house. OCD symptoms can range from moderate to severe. Some individuals with OCD may devote a hour or so a day participated in obsessive-compulsive thinking and behavior, but for others the illness could completely take over their life.
